HALO-HALO 2008
Halohalo is a performance venue for budding and talented amateur or professional musicians. It’s main objective is to be able to expose and hone these talents through a songwriting/performance competition.
Recording artist and composition
All the songs of all the finalists will be assigned to Acoustic Underground as music publisher for a period of 10 years. And will be part of the compilation album to be released within the same year.
Criteria for judging
- Commercial Appeal (40%)
- Performance (30%)
- Musical and songwriting artistry, lyrical content and ingenuity/originality/creativity (30%)
Prizes
Cash prize of Php 30,000.00, a trophy and an album recording for the grand prize winner. Inclusion in the compilation album for all of the finalists.
Mechanics & Requirements
The contest is open to all solo performers/performing groups with no previous commercial recordings, with ages ranging from 18 years old and above.
All song entries should be original and should be written by the performer or any member of the participating performing group or band.
The contest is open to all types of music genre to be performed live in English, Filipino or any dialect. No pre recorded backing tracks are allowed.
