Mechanics & Requirements
The contest is open to all solo performers/performing groups with no previous commercial recordings, with ages ranging from 18 years old and above.
All song entries should be original and should be written by the performer or any member of the participating performing group or band.
The contest is open to all types of music genre to be performed live in English, Filipino or any dialect. No pre recorded backing tracks are allowed.
The stages of the contest are:
(1) Initial screening shall be made through the submission of the song mixes in mp3 format through the web page. (2) Fill-out the registration form. (3) Pay a non-refundable joining fee of Php 300 per song or entry. Joining fee shall be deposited to BPI Account

Submission of entries is from April 1 to May 15, 2008.
*Note that no entries will be auditioned if the above requirements are not accomplished.
Confirmation of receipt of payment and entries will be done through text and/or email.
There will be 12 finalists to be chosen and from these finalists 1 grand prize winner and 1 second prize winner will be chosen. The 12 finalists shall automatically be included in the compilation album of Acoustic Underground.
Semi Final rounds will be held on May 7, 14 and 21, 2008. Grand Finals will be held on May 31, 2008 at the Freedom Bar in Anonas, Quezon City.
DEFINITION
Original composition: Any musical work that hasn’t been published and/or released commercially as a single or part of an album; in any form of distribution and/or published in the web for download.
Language: English or Tagalog or mixed; any local dialect.
Band/performing group: composed of a lead singer, back up vocalists, drums, keyboards, bass guitar, lead guitar, rhythm guitar, percussion (optional) or any musical instrument; should have no previous or future contractual commitment with any recording company; hasn’t released or has not been part of any recording, full or compilation album, local or international.
