Internet users intensely responded to the perception that Google has modeled its home page with Microsoft’s Bing. They at once let the search giant know that they did not wish to see Google with some thick images and colors in the background.
Here are some of the images of Google Search’s new design on their homepage:

Google listened to its users and went on to change the home page in a few hours. Google officials said that it was aimed at letting people inform about Google’s new experiment with a customized home page. Due to a software bug, the explanation for the home page change was missed to show up on the page.
“We had planned to run an explanation of the showcase alongside it, in the form of a link on our home page,” said Google search VP Mellissa Mayer. “Due to a bug, the explanatory link did not appear for most users. As a result, many people thought we had permanently changed our home page,” Mayer added.
Meanwhile, Google has left a link on its home page for those users who liked the change. That means Google added a feature to help people set their customized home page with the image they want. If bored, and they wanted to get back to Google’s classic white and plain home page, user can set it on a link “remove background image.”
